A very healthful green to eat when cooked, nettles have a long history of medicinal uses, including treatment of muscle and joint pain. Makes a great ’tisane’ (herb tea) — bright, herbaceous, delicious. They should be handled with care (wear gloves!) when fresh but take very little cooking to shed the sting.

These are green jalapeños of varying size and spiciness. Perfect to add some heat to your salsa or stuff with cheese for poppers!
